On March 17 , the FIC Working Group on Green Economy and Energy held a meeting to discuss the challenges and solutions enabling green transition and decarbonization of the economy, increasing climate resilience, improving access to energy and strengthening energy security.
The group members also discussed the issues of taxation and tax administration, which according to many foreign investors are among the most pressing ones. At the same time, the issues of regulation, implementation of international financial standards, effectiveness of interaction with government agencies, significance of strategic planning and master plans, access to data, human resources training and capacity building were also given consideration.
The meeting was attended by representatives of leading foreign companies operating in Uzbekistan, such as General Electric, EDF, Masdar, Siemens, TBC, Gengiz Enerji, Zeppelin / Caterpillar, Suez, Veolia, Calik Holding, Aksa Enerji, Synergy Consulting, Macro Advisory, Ernst & Young, White & Case, as well as representatives of international financial institutions and government bodies.
