The process of establishing the Tashkent International Commercial Court (TICC) is underway to strengthen investor confidence in Uzbekistan.

As an important step to improve the investment climate and strengthen confidence among foreign investors, the Foreign Investors Council is working on the creation of the Tashkent International Commercial Court (TICC). Operating independently within the local judicial system, the TICC will serve as a trusted forum for the resolution of disputes in commercial agreements involving foreign investors, whether governed by Uzbekistan law or foreign laws, including commonly used English law for international financial and investment agreements.

EUROUZ organised a coordination call with the Foreign Investors Council (FIC)

The Foreign Investors Council (FIC) under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan is set to convene its next plenary session on May 2nd, 2024. In preparation for this event, the Europe-Uzbekistan Association for Economic Cooperation (EUROUZ) is working to coordinate and support the European companies to present their proposals, recommendations and issues and has organized a first call with the FIC Secretariat for EUROUZ members to commence the preparation process.

Establishing the Tashkent International Financial Centre

Tashkent, 27 July 2023 – Uzbekistan marks an ambitious stride towards economic prosperity and growth today with the pilot initiative of “Establishing the Tashkent International Financial Centre (TIFC).” A crucial working group meeting was convened by the Ministry of Investment, Trade (MIIT) and the Foreign Investors Council (FIC) under the President of Uzbekistan.

On April 7, the FIC held a meeting of the 6th Working Group on Priority Sectors to discuss issues and opportunities in agribusiness, mining and metallurgy, textiles and apparel, tourism and hospitality.
